An opportunity has arisen to join an in-house Technical Support Team at a world class Royston based manufacturer as Process Development Engineer. Candidates must be educated to at least degree-level of equivalent qualification in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Metallurgy or similar.

The main focus of this role is to work as part of a small team of technical specialist, providing technical insight to the technical and operations teams. You will be the single point of contact for technical matters for assigned projects. Initially the focus of the role will be reactive to any immediate issues within the projects. In the future the role will have greater focus towards preventative actions and therefore reducing the need for reactive responses. Therefore previous experience of analysing processes and investigating problems using methodologies, principles and stage gate methodologies are desirable but not essential.

Applications are invited from Process Engineers, Process Safety Engineers or Process Development Engineers with previous experience in manufacturing sites. Candidates who are currently and/or have previously worked within sectors that focus on the application and/or extraction of material coatings, glass, metals, ceramics or chemical production are likely to be of particular interest. Excellent interpersonal skills and strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential for this role. Equally as important is the ability to work well in a team.
