Senior HV Electrical Engineer

I am working closely with my world class manufacturer, based in Hampshire, to recruit a Senior HV Electrical Engineer to work at their busy Manufacturing Plant. The purpose of this business-critical role is to take responsibility for all electrical equipment on site (HV and LV systems), ensuring site compliance and increasing the availability of equipment to maximise production operations.

You will be responsible for managing the team of on-site Electrical Technicians and Maintenance Electricians, have budget responsibility of approximately £250k OPEX and £250k CAPEX, and will collaborate with others to deliver higher value improvement projects (may be up to £1m).

Applications are invited from electrical engineers with experience of HV and LV systems and infrastructure within process driven heavy industry and/or hazardous manufacturing environments (i.e. chemical, agro-chemical, oil & gas, refinery, food & beverage, FMCG, paper, glass, resins, pharmaceutical, or similar).

The emphasis for the successful candidate is on excellent Team Development and Management, scheduling, and working alongside both production and plant upgrades engineering teams within a heavy manufacturing environment. You should have a proven track record of driving improvements.

Applicants with Approved Person status are highly desirable, but this not essential as it can be attained once you have started the role. Previous experience of managing UPS systems may be beneficial, as would use of a CMMS, but neither are essential.
