I am working closely with my Enfield-based manufacturing client to appoint a Waste Compliance Officer to join their on-site EHS department. Within this role you will be responsible for tracking of materials onto, around and off the site. Once you have developed a strong understanding of their varied and complex manufacturing processes, you will be responsible for:
- Maintaining compliance with the UK Waste Regulations, UK Environmental Regulations, COMAH Regulations and ISO standards
- Ensuring all materials are labelled and recorded
- Auditing the site in regards to waste management requirements
- Filling Waste Transfer Notes
Applicants should hold a formal qualification in Waste Management or similar related subject and/or have at least 6 months of experience within a similar role. Candidates with previous experience of the receipt and shipment of hazardous and non-hazardous waste is of particular interest.
The role will also involve occasional travel to visit both customers and suppliers, so a full driving licence is desirable.
