Laser Engineer

I am working exclusively with my client, award-winning world class innovative manufacturer of industrial laser products and systems with significant international presence across a range of markets. Due to our continued growth we are actively looking to recruit a Laser Engineer to join our growing Laser & Optics Group. Within this newly created role you will contribute towards expanding our range of laser products through design, development and testing of CO2 and solid-state lasers and systems.

This is an exciting time to join us as you will primarily be focused on new R&D projects which the business has committed significant resources into this project including investing in the construction a purpose-built workshop laboratory, creating this new permanent position, and a PhD studentship to support research and development activities. It is anticipated that this will result in NPD and NPI in the future which you will be at the forefront of.

Our modern purpose-built headquarters in East Yorkshire comprise of offices, R&D and clean room manufacturing facilities, and are easily accessible by car and public transport. This role will be predominantly office-based but will involve some domestic and international travel to visit suppliers, customers, academic conferences and trade shows, so a driving licence and passport are desirable. This is also reflected in the wide range of remuneration on offer.

Candidates with knowledge and/or experience of any of the following would be beneficial: Optics, Optical, Photonics, Q-switching, CO2 lasers, Solid-state lasers, and/or mechanical and electronics engineering.
