We are a successful Bedford based manufacturer of sheet metal solutions proud to be working with some of the world's leading organisations in a wide variety of markets including Financial Services, Scientific Research, Media and Telecommunications. Having grown significantly over the past couple of years with even greater growth projected, we now have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer who will oversee and lead a small team of Mechanical Design Engineers on a number of both existing and upcoming projects. This is an enviable role for an inspirational and visionary Senior Mechanical Design Engineer with previous management experience or the attributes and ambition to lead. This role will offer the successful candidate the unique opportunity to manage bespoke, clean sheet design projects. We invite applications from Senior Mechanical Design Engineers with the following attributes:

• Knowledge and understanding of sheet metal work is essential
• Previous experience of working on the design of sheet metal engineering solutions to bespoke requirements
• Experience of generating and maintaining CAD models and drawings using ideally Solid Edge but other 3D packages such as Solidworks also considered.
• Management of designated projects
• Excellent communication skills enabling you to provide regular project feedback on progress to the Managing Director
• Experience of overseeing a small team of Mechanical Design Engineers OR the desire and necessary attributes to do so.
