HR Business Partner (12 month FTC)
My client is currently seeking to recruit a HR Business Partner join their in-house HR Team on a 12 month fixed term contract in Royston, Hertfordshire. They are looking for CIPD qualified candidates with excellent communication and organisational skills as this role will involve working closely with the Lead HR Business Partner, Regional HR Director and Regional Site HR Managers in the UK and Europe.
Reporting to the HR Director, the successful candidate will provide HR support across the European region by working closely with regional HR Managers. This will include the coordination and amalgamation of regional HR calendar events including monthly reporting, staff reviews, performance reviews, salary and bonus schedules, etc.
In addition, you will also be supporting a small area of the business within operations by working closely with the Lead HR Business Partner on implementing organisational structures and staff plans with departmental managers. This will include supporting planning for current and future forecasting of staffing requirements, succession planning, and taking ownership of complex employee relations case work.
The successful candidate will also contribute towards developing and implementing best practice HR initiatives and policies that support organisational goals. Within this role you will support the implementation of business people plans by acting as a coach and advisor to line managers. My client operates within a business partner model so candidates should be familiar with this concept.
This role covers a full range of responsibilities, including:
- Co-ordinate the regional consolidation of site reports and HR calendar processes (e.g. talent & performance reviews)
- Manage the regional expatriate process in conjunction with the Group mobility team, including managing three company residential properties
- Act as regional owner and champion for the on-line performance management and talent review system
- Support department managers to ensure robust departmental talent and succession plans are in place
- Drive improvement in organisational capacity through developing and coaching effective leadership and performance management capabilities
- Use business understanding to advise on appropriate departmental design and structures. Where appropriate, develop and implement plans to change organisation structures.
- Manage the employment relations climate, including supporting with complex ER cases
This is a challenging role; the successful applicant will need to be flexible and able to adapt to change quickly whilst effectively prioritising and managing workload. Candidates must have excellent written and verbal communications skills to build effective working relationships and hold challenging conversations with staff at all levels of the business. You should have a track record of working collaboratively, persuade and influence change in a fast paced changing environment, ideally in a large matrix organisation. Candidates must be able to demonstrate experience with complex employee and employment relation issues.
