Senior ECI Engineer

My client is a world class process-driven manufacturing company who are looking for a Senior ECI Engineer to join their site-based Maintenance Team. Based at their North London plant, the successful candidate will provide Electrical, Control & Instrumentation support across the site such as technical problem solving and running smaller projects arising from the Maintenance Department or Plant Modification Team. We are inviting applications from Senior ECI engineers and technicians who have experience of working in sectors such as; pharmaceutical, chemical, and agro-chemical, mineral or metal processing, or refining related environments.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting the implementation of the Controls & Implementation and electrical power distribution strategies
• Ensuring alarm management standards and safety related control functions are implemented across the site to deliver process safety
• Ensuring all work satisfies ISO9001 and ISO14001 requirements
• Ensuring the site meets all electrical statutory inspections and maintenance requirements
• Managing contractors to conform with EHS and Security policies and procedures
• Implement and support standards for instrumentation (such as IEC61511) and electrical & electronic equipment (such as IEC61508)

Candidates must hold a recognised electrical / controls based qualification and need to be confident with control systems including PLCs and SCADA systems. Past experience of HV Networks is desirable, as is ECI experience in the maintenance team of a manufacturing / chemicals plant. An understanding of DSEAR / ATAX regulations is considered beneficial. The role may involve occasional travel to suppliers, so a full driving licence is desirable.
