Service Account Representative

I am working closely with my manufacturing client, part of a much larger multi-national organisation, to recruit a Service Account Representative.

This newly created role will be focused on growing the service-side of the business, expanding the team by joining the Field-based Service Team Lead and Field-based Service Engineer.

You will be based at their manufacturing site in Milton Keynes / Newport Pagnell with occasional travel to their HQ in High Wycombe as there is already a Servicing Team set up there for their parent company, who will be able to provide you with support and training.

You will be required to travel from the manufacturing site in Milton Keynes on occasions (likely to be one day per month). As you grow into this new role, you will start to go out to visit customers at their sites. This will allow you to understand their requirements and set-ups as their products are used in wide and varied applications. They are used in many different ways. Then you will be well placed for upselling, quotations and aftersales of servicing and accessories.

Our preference is for someone with a technical background, ideally technical sales, however we are able to consider a wide range of backgrounds including a technical administrative role or marketing for example. We have also had great success in the past with field service technician and engineers who are looking to transition into an office environment.

Applicants must have customer-facing experience and confidence in written and verbal communication. The role will involve quoting, supporting negotiations (later leading them), invoicing, follow-ups, finding new clients and businesses

A full UK driving licence and own vehicle is desirable due to travel to customer sites as the role evolves.

In return they are able to offer a starting salary of £28,000, up to 5% bonus, 25 days holiday, pension and benefits. There will also be career progression opportunities within the company in the future for those who excel in the role.
