Maintenance Planning Engineer / Senior Engineer (2 year FTC)

Based: Enfield, North London, Middlesex, (& frequent travel to Hertfordshire plant)

Salary up to £50,000 DOE plus Benefits

My client is a world class manufacturer who is currently seeking to recruit a Maintenance Planning Engineer to join the on-site engineering team at their busy Manufacturing Plant in North London (with some travel to another plant in North Hertfordshire). Reporting to the Maintenance Planning Manager (who is also based across multiple sites), the successful candidate will be responsible for the writing of asset management plans for equipment across the plant for both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) as well as reactive maintenance requirements. In addition, this is also a rare opportunity to be involved in the development and implementation of a new Asset Management System (AMS / CMMS) which will be tailored to the requirements of the engineering department.

Applications are invited from experienced maintenance planners who have worked in a heavy manufacturing or high volume, process driven environments (i.e. chemical, agro-chemical, oil & gas, power generation, pharmaceutical, refining, nuclear or similar). Previous experience / knowledge of COMAH requirements is desirable.

This business critical role is challenging ; the successful applicant will need to be flexible, determined and self-motivated, with a number of years' experience in a similar maintenance planning role. Candidates must be able to demonstrate an appreciation of the tools, resources and time required for each task, in addition to the potential risks, so a technical background and experience of working out on a plant site is highly desirable. Applicants must have strong communication skills and the ability to engage and influence across all levels of the business as the role will involve working with stakeholders who often have conflicting priorities and urgent requirements.
