I am working closely with a leading UK-based equipment manufacturer and integrated MRO (maintenance, repair and operating) service provider specialising in process-related engineering across a wide variety of industry sectors to recruit two Lead Site Engineers to join their expanding in-house Engineering Team.
This is an exciting time to be joining them as they are continuing to expand both their bespoke engineered solutions and offer MRO services which meet specific customer needs, as an increasing number of companies are looking to outsource their engineering to a single supplier and reduce total operating costs.
As the Lead Site Engineer you will:
- Facilitate the engineering activities that take place on a day-to-day basis on various work sites and ensure the successful completion of the contract under your supervision.
- To ensure activities undertaken on sites are carried out to the highest practicable safety standards and delivered to programme.
- Support the demands of the growing business in liquid and powder process solution equipment, consumable supplier to the food, beverage, brewery, bakery, dairy and utility industries throughout the UK.
- Attending site carrying out site surveys & quotations for site Installations & remedial work.
- Maintain primary contact and a good working relationship with client and operations personnel, as well as sub-contractors and site representatives who are engaged by the Client.
- Conducting risk assessments, issuing and managing Permits To Work (PTW).
We are actively seeking two Lead Site Engineers with previous experience of coordinating and leading engineering teams and a proven track record of successfully delivering projects across various work sites. Projects will include installations, commissioning, upgrades, maintenance and servicing.
Applicants should have project management skills and customer-facing experiences as you will be managing relationships between internal and external stakeholders. You should also have a strong commercial sense and attention to detail, with the ability to support problem-solving and ensuring that stage gates of projects are met on time and within budget.
Previous experience of installing equipment in food and beverage industries (brewery, bakery, flour mills, dairy, etc) or other process-related industries such as water or pharmaceutical is preferred but not essential.
In return they are willing to pay an attractive salary for the right candidate which will be negotiable based on experience, together with a personalised induction and personal development plan, and can offer career progression within the company in the future.
