Control and Software Engineer (Chemical Manufacturing)

We are looking for a Control and Software Engineer to join our engineering team based in Hertfordshire. As a Control and Software Engineer you will for designing, developing, installing, managing and/or maintaining equipment and software which is used to monitor and control engineering systems, machinery and processes. This Control and Software Engineer position will see the successful candidate will implement controls strategy and the incumbent can expect to benefit from an attractive salary of up to £44,000 + a very generous benefits package.

We are looking for a Control and Software Engineer with the following attributes:

• Prior experience and Knowledge of SQL Scripting PHP, Javascript, Java, Python, Psion OPL,
• Experience of maintaining Scada clients - Physical, software & configuration
• Experience in planning and performing internal audits and inspections. To ensure processes are being implemented and improvement plans are developed where necessary.
• Carry out statutory and other testing on site to help maintain both ISO 9001 & ISO14001 accreditation
• Experience in chemical, or similar process industry
• Awareness of ISO 9001 standards relating to manufacturing processes, laboratory preparation areas, clean rooms
• Strong leadership and operational experience, with the ability to motivate staff as and when appropriate
• Ability to present a project clearly and gain buy in from other Managers and departments
