Industrial Maintenance Electrician
Based: Stevenage, Hertfordshire
Salary: up to £38,000 + Bonus & Benefits
My client is currently seeking to recruit an industrial maintenance Electrician to join the site-based Maintenance Team at their busy site in Stevenage, Hertfordshire. They are looking for an electrician with experience of working on a wide range of plant equipment including HVAC. In return, they will offer a competitive salary and excellent benefits package for this static role.The purpose of this role (as part of the Maintenance Team) is to safely maintain and improve the reliability of the diverse range of equipment on site, both planned preventative and corrective, in order to facilitate the smooth and efficient operations of the business.
The vast majority of your work will be planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
Applications are invited from maintenance electricians / Instrumentation technicians / ECI-biased engineers who have worked in heavy manufacturing and/or high volume, process driven environments (i.e. automotive, chemical, food, agro-chemical, pharmaceutical, refining, or similar).
Candidates should ideally have completed a High Voltage Approved Person (HVAP) course, or at least be willing to complete one upon joining the company.
This role covers a full range of activities, including:
- Complete PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance) and carry out breakdown and emergency repairs on equipment
- Carry out testing and fault-finding on equipment
- Ensure all facilities and equipment are safe to use by following quality and EHS policies
- Liaise with other members of the Maintenance Team, Maintenance Team Leader, and Production Team Leaders to agree and carry out breakdown, corrective and preventative maintenance
- Dealing with stock control of spares and replacement parts
- Facilitate plant modification work as required
- Support LEAN implementation and assist with the identification and implementation of improvement, cost saving and sustainable opportunities.
The successful applicant will be flexible, determined and self-motivated, with experience of working in a close-knit engineering team. Candidates must have previously carried out maintenance of HV and LV electrical equipment.
Standard hours Mon-Fri, with overtime available. Additional information available upon application.
