Welder
Location: Luton, Bedfordshire
Salary £37,250 (including shift allowance) plus benefits, rising to £41,250
We are a specialist manufacturer of complex high end technical products based near Luton, Bedfordshire. We are currently seeking a coded welder with experience TIG, Stick & MAG welding processes to join our workshop team on a double-day shift pattern.
Once in post, you will be given additional training in order to weld to the exacting standards of their blue chip customer.
We are offering a starting salary of £37,250 (including shift premium) plus a generous benefits package and paid overtime will be available. Upon successful completion of training to our customer's standards this will rise to £41,250 (including shift premium).
The majority of the work will be one-offs and small batch volumes, involving both pipe and plate welding. You will be working with various materials including stainless steels and carbon steels, in a range of thicknesses.
We are looking for a motivated Welder / Fabrication Engineer who is comfortable working to the highest standards.
We welcome applications from candidates who have completed a recognised time served welding apprenticeship and ability to demonstrate your skills in coded welding. Good communication skills are important for working within the team environment and understanding safety procedures, as are time management skills.
The double-day shift pattern alternates every week:
Week 1 Early shift: Mon-Thu: 06.00 - 14.00, Fri: 06.00 - 13.30,
Week 2 Late shift: Mon-Thu: 14.00 - 22.00, Fri: 13.30 -21.00.
