SearchAdvertising or database searches alone cannot always yield the results that you are looking for. It is always difficult to attract the very best talent as such people are not ordinarily seeking alternative employment. Indeed, the best candidates are usually treated well by their employers because they often hold intrinsic value which can be deemed as being irreplaceable. Search & selection is undoubtedly one of the most talked about methods of recruitment, commonly referred to as “head-hunting”. Principally there are two types of search; open and closed. An open search is used when a target list is unrestricted in terms of potential candidates. A closed search is used when a position is so highly specialised that it is restricted to a small unique target list. In both instances, (open and closed), the process starts with taking a detailed brief in order to understanding all of the objectives of the assignment. This is followed with collaborative research in order to identify a potential pool of candidates who are then contacted confidentiality in order to understand their potential suitability. Once this screening process is complete, we then engage in extensive interviews. Upon completion we discuss our findings with you and present a detailed shortlist. Thereafter, we play an integral role in supporting the recruitment process through to completion. This includes the exchange of feedback, advice on contract negotiations, the administration and interpretation of psychometrics, (if appropriate) and reference checks. We always ensure that we carry out all search and selection methods with targeted precision, providing you with regular progress updates and we will consult with in detail about the findings that we have made from our interviews. It is imperative that search is conducted properly. All of our search specialists are extensively trained. We always insist on providing all of our clients with a summary of our protocols accompanied by a concisely written service level agreement. |
